An Encompassing Approach
Early Childhood Educators nurture and educate children between the ages of 2.5 – 3.5 years within our Preschool Program. Marathon Children and Family Centre’s Preschool Program is built surrounding the Reggio Emilia Principles in where educational, hands-on activities are formulated based on interests of the children.
We believe that all children are competent and capable individuals as stated in our Philosophy. Based on this fact, educators enable and encourage children to explore their own acts of attentiveness, potential and inquisitiveness through making activities available which allow children to investigate their individual thoughts and ideas. It is our goal to provide a wide range of activities all related to the children’s world and development including science, environmental play, language arts, everyday communication and more. Daily observations are made in order to keep track of progress and continually formulate next steps and plans.
